Wick It Candle Bar is proud to announce that its owner, Danica Hartenfels, has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the prestigious Richard “Dick” Seip Distinguished Citizen Award, presented by the Pocono Friends of Scouting. This esteemed recognition celebrates Danica’s exceptional leadership, dedication, and contributions to the local community.

As Vice President of the ESU Alumni Board and a beloved alumna of East Stroudsburg University, A Rotarian of the Stroudsburgs Rotary, Board Member of Family Promise as well as other volunteering across other organizations with her time and her business,  Danica has exemplified what it means to be a committed community leader. Her entrepreneurial spirit and passion for enriching the lives of those around her shine through in her work at Wick It Candle Bar and beyond.

The Richard “Dick” Seip Distinguished Citizen Award has a storied tradition of honoring remarkable individuals in the Pocono region. Past recipients include Ken Long, President of ESU (2024) and Senator Rosemary Brown (2023), making Danica’s inclusion in this distinguished group a testament to her impact.

Danica will be formally presented with the award at the Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner on Thursday, April 24, 2025. The event promises to be a memorable evening celebrating her achievements.
